I've finally managed to arrange in an appointment with the head engineer of Draklor. I'll be gone all afternoon, so if something disastrous happens the minute I step off the ship, contact Commander Edgeworth.

Also, Minamimoto. Learn to control your kleptomaniacal urges and give me my compass back.

Get ready. I'll make a separate post when I arrive at Draklor, and I expect you at least be in the general vicinity of the building when I do.

Your compass, sir? Why would the boatswain steal it, I wonder?

When he first arrived, he stole random trinkets for no good reason and built a heap out of them on the deck.

...well, that's certainly quite the peculiar habit. The crew is certainly much more fascinating than the one back then, I must say.

"Fascinating" isn't the word for it.

And isn't it not? I doubt any other military ship would have the privilege of having a talking beaver and cat onboard. It certainly makes things... a lot more interesting~

At least they don't make messes of things. Anyway, I'd rather have a thoroughly uninteresting crew that was completely sane.

Oh, but that'd just take out the fun of everything now, with all due respect sir. So long as they don't cause us to drop from mid-air, I think they're a rather intriguing bunch.

Since when have I ever given a damn about fun?

From: [identity profile] thedevilsmile.livejournal.com
I didn't say they were fun, sir; I said they're merely interesting. There is a difference between those two within the spectrum, sir.

Care to contradict yourself some more, Gavin?

Well, you got me there sir. But in a sense, I meant the fun in observing them, not the real sense of fun. Hahaha.

...it's not funny, and I've never cared for that particular variety of fun either.

Hrn, I suppose you're right about than sir. If you excuse me now, I have some paperwork to attend to~

A compass? I wonder where it ran off to...

From: [identity profile] karmauberalles.livejournal.com
It didn't run off. That would just be stupid.

You may never know, von Karma sir. The possibility exists after all.

From: [identity profile] justundertall.livejournal.com
I would agree, but after the zombies I'm a bit more open with impossible possibilities, wouldn't you agree?

Date: 2008-10-13 01:45 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] karmauberalles.livejournal.com
The zombies operated on a simple principle of reanimation, whereas this requires something that has never been alive to suddenly pick up and walk away.

From: [identity profile] justundertall.livejournal.com
And before the zombies nobody has ever believed that they truly exist, correct? Its the same logic that I'm applying here, sir.

...I suppose if it was enchanted, it would make sense. I'm more willing to put my money on the ship kleptomaniac stealing it.

Date: 2008-10-13 01:53 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] justundertall.livejournal.com
But the 'ship kleptomaniac', as you call him, sir, wasn't seen around the ship recently if I recall correctly. Usually he would be cackling all over the place, and I suppose even more so if he did steal that compass of yours.

From: [identity profile] karmauberalles.livejournal.com
I haven't used it for a while. For all I know, he stole it a week ago and is saving it for something particularly annoying.

Its a bit doubtful, but that might be a possibility too I suppose.

I'm on my way out now, sir. I'll probably be inside by the time you message me.
